Apple Biscuits

Whether it’s tea-time or me-time, it’s always a good time for one of these chewy apple biscuits.

Ingredients:
Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
  2. Put apples, sugar, water, vanilla and cinnamon in a pot.
  3. Cook for 15 minutes, or until reduced and sticky, then blitz until smooth. Set aside to cool.
  4. Combine flour, bicarb, baking powder, eggs and butter or oil in a bowl.
  5. Fold through apple mixture until combined.
  6. Taking two tablespoons at a time, roll batter into balls, place on greased baking tray and flatten.
  7. Place apple slices on top of each biscuit and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  8. Allow biscuits to cool before removing from baking tray. Serve.
